Go to clerks office and have your matter out on calendar . Request community service in lieu of fine.

Son was set up by a guy that's in love with my sons girlfriend, NOW my son is facing a 2 yr sentence for a drug charge.

You need to speak to public defender ASAP - if they will talk to,you. It sounds like there was no trial and your son accepted a plea bargain.

Mr. Dane has laid it all out. She needs an attorney . A public defender will be appointed if she cannot afford one. This is a serious offense.

You can always try to sue - but what are the chances of recovery? The DA will or did ask for restitution.
