This is a battle for your insurance company. If personal injuries are involved the insurance company will deal with it .

Fight the ticket. Hopefully officer will not show and case would be dismissed. You can request traffic school and community service!

You should have gotten car out before 30 day hold was up. As the registered owner - with nothing outstanding, you might have been able to do so.
