It's not illegal to panhandle- or the police don't enforce.

The DMV probably suspended your license. You would be eligible to get it back now. Are you sure DUI charges were not filed against you?

The only thing you can do is fight the ticket. These officers issue so many tickets that it is impossible for tem to remember every detail.
