I am an attorney licensed to practice in the State of California and before the United States District Court, United States Bankruptcy Court and United States Tax Court. My areas of practice include estate planning, wills and trusts, probate, civil litigation, bankruptcy and dispute resolution. I am a member of the Ventura County Bar Association. I have a B.S. degree from Southern Illinois University and a J.D. degree from the Ventura and Santa Barbara College of Law, a small private law school in Santa Barbara, California. I have conducted civil trials in local courts, represented creditors and debtors in bankruptcy proceedings, and served as a judge pro temp in the local court and started the probate fraud institute. One of my civil cases resulted in a published decision by the California Court of Appeals which was upheld by the California Supreme Court. Another civil case became known worldwide and was featured on Dateline, CBS News, Fox News, ABC News, Bullseye TV of London, and I was interviewed by Geraldo Rivera, Gretta Van Susterin and Catherine Crier of Court TV.
My practice is focused on civil and probate litigation, preventing foreclosures and business closure through various bankruptcy chapters, real estate title disputes and general civil and business cases and challenging homeowner associations. I have extensive experience in a variety of matters.
I am passionate about helping people. I have prepared many estate plans, Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Health Care Directives, for clients, many of whom came through Anheuser-Busch.
20 years of management experience with Anheuser-Busch, planning, organizing employees and materials, directing employees, and being held accountable for achieving and maintaining the A-B standards of excellence. Attended law school at night, while working 50-60 hours a week at A-B.
I have been a speaker regarding foreclosures, reverse mortgages and estate planning and have provided onsite training to small and large businesses concerning management, employment, and legal trends. I worked with the legal cousel for AARP to stop lender abuse in reverse mortgage foreclosures. We are a debt relief firm helping people file for bankruptcy relief under the bankruptcy code.
I am married, 45 years, to the same person, and love living and working in Ventura County and feel privileged being here in California (and not the mid-west where I was raised).
