Jody Moore is a founding partner of Moore Hutchins Moore, LLP (formerly Johnson Moore) and a Ventura County native who has spent 25 years doing one thing: fighting for California's most vulnerable elders.
Born and raised in Ventura County, Jody built her career on the belief that every person in a nursing home, residential care facility, or long-term care setting deserves dignity, safety, and someone willing to fight fiercely on their behalf. That belief has never changed. The firm she leads today — Moore Hutchins Moore — is its fullest expression.
Jody has tried some of California's most complex elder abuse and neglect cases, taking on the systemic understaffing, chronic underfunding, and corporate indifference that put vulnerable people at risk. Her trial record has earned her recognition as both San Francisco and Ventura County Trial Lawyer of the Year, and she was honored with the Ventura County Women Trial Lawyers Legacy Award for her contributions to women in the legal profession. She lectures nationally on long-term care litigation and is regarded by peers as a leading voice on trial strategy and case framing — not only within elder abuse, but across plaintiff's practice broadly.
At Moore Hutchins Moore, Jody leads a team of three named partners whose careers, like hers, have been dedicated to this singular mission. The firm she founded reflects everything she has learned over 25 years about what it means to represent a family at their most vulnerable moment: litigate the case vigorously, keep the clients informed and make sure they know their case is being handled as the unique case that it is, and pursue full accountability.
Pursuing Justice. Protecting the Vulnerable.

What a wonderful person. She knows her stuff, and explains things to you when you don't understand and keeps you in the loop during the entire process of your case. Jody makes you feel right at home and at ease at a very stressful time in your families life. Thank you for that.

Nursing Homes Can't Do That
I was referred to Johnson Moore attorneys through another attorney. They were able to handle my case and get a settlement for me VERY quickly! I received more of a settlement then I expected to receive. They handled everything over the phone/fax/email. I never had to go to the office.
"I endorse this experienced, aggressive, and passionate attorney and would call upon her firm for any case involving Elder Neglect."
