Workers comp

Andrew has been my workers comp and wrongful termination lawyer for the last couple of years. He has gone out of his way to help me and secure my job and my health. He knows his stuff and he knows what he’s doing. Great lawyer!!

Wanted me to just take it.

I was injured at my CDCR job in January of 2020. I was ordered by my boss to do work not in my job description after I had been injured. I could not afford to take time off on Workers Comp. I support a family of five. In May, my employer forced me to go on workers comp because due to my injury I coul...d not perform the duties which were listed at N/A in my job description. My co-workers all told me to contact Ferrone and Ferrone because they are the best for state employees. I quickly looked up their website, and asked them for representation. I was assigned Mr. Scott. He had his clerical contact me, and state that they were working on my case. Over the course of several months, I contacted his office several times. In October, I was wrongfully terminated due to my injury. I called him immediately. I HAD A FAMILY TO SUPPORT! My employer told me I no longer had health benefits and the salary of 9000.00+ was now zero. I frantically called Mr. Scott! After weeks!!! For the first time he called me back and said, "You have no case, you should just retire." I would be receiving no benefits and $1,000.00 a month to support my family, he said there was nothing else to do. Luckily, Mr. Scott left Ferrone and Ferrone and attorney John Ferrone answered my call for help! I now have my job back, I am supporting my family again, not losing my home, and Mr. Ferrone is assisting me in all the areas starting back in January where things went wrong. Mr. Scott misled me, wasted my time for months and did not care that my huge state employer was going to ruin my entire life and family’s support. I would have lost everything if it were up to him. Stick with Ferrone and Ferrone for work issues.

Workers compensation claim

This was my attorney for the past year. He would not even call me back when I requested just five minutes of his time. I was severely injured at my state job. The state accepted responsibility however continually denied all my surgeries. Now I’m a young athletic woman walking in a walker with more co...mpensating injuries than before and living on 2/3’s of my salary. But in a year I was not worth five minutes of his time.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
