They were so good when my wife and I needed to set up our own living trust, we went straight to them, and they once again proved they were the platinum standard. Yet their rates are competitive. I first met Jane McNamara and her amazing staff Gina and Miriam in December 2019. I was caring for my hospitalized elderly uncle and hit several roadblocks. The hospital was slow to help; doctors would not return my calls; and the social worker was pressuring me to take my uncle into my home when I w...as incapable of providing the necessary level of care he would need. The bank would not honor my POA so I could access the necessary funds to move my uncle into a home. I googled elder law attorneys in Santa Clarita. I am so thankful Jane's was the first--and best!--that popped up. I filled out the contact form and within fifteen minutes Gina called me. She was genuinely concerned, practical, helpful, and prompt. She scheduled a consultation with Jane for Christmas Eve. I was floored that I would not have to wait until after New Year’s with my uncle lingering in the hospital before I got help. That consultation was the most productive, considerate, and helpful encounter I have ever had professionally or personally. Jane's advice was perfect. She pointed out the language in the POA that exactly answered my needs, and I could use with every agency I needed access from. She gave excellent advice on how to handle the hospital, doctors, pushy social worker, and recommended Shannon with Assisted Living Locators to help me find a home for my uncle, which she did. Through it all, Jane and her staff were so kind. Gina in the front office was so sweet; and Miriam the paralegal offered her sincere sympathies and tender help while giving her very professional aid. Everything Jane recommended worked perfectly. I could not have gotten through that ordeal with a modicum of sanity if it had not been for the three of them. I sought Jane's services out again in 2020, when my uncle passed away (not Covid related but after lockdown). Unfortunately, his estate, of which I am the executor, had to go through probate and Jane no longer handles probated cases. After now enduring probate for 2 years with another office (and not being done yet), I can fully understand Jane's reluctance to provide this service. It is my less than happy probate experience that brought my husband and I back to Jane in January 2022. After a year of trying to care for my uncle through the end of his life and another two years of probate, my husband and I were determined to create a secure, well-written, flexible, and very complete estate plan. We very much want to spare our children and their guardians as much stress and "rigmarole" as possible. Who else would we call other than Jane? Every interaction had already proved how invaluable she, Gina, and Miriam were; so of course, we returned to create our revocable trust. Jane and her staff are so very thorough, so very well prepared, and so very knowledgeable. She and Miriam walked us through all the tricky aspects and questions that needed settling with care, kindness, and professionalism. They treated us like real people and listened so carefully as I gave personal experiences from my uncle's care that we would not want repeated for us. Jane listened and then created the perfect language we wanted to address all our concerns. We are confident that the estate plan we created is best suited for our family and our needs and gave us peace of mind. Again, I am so, so grateful for their truly kind and very professional services. They treated us like people, making a personal connection with us as individuals (hello, fountain pen friend) and as parents (oh college is around the corner!) and not dollar signs. The amount we paid for everything (trust, POA, Health Directive, pour over will, etc.) was worth every cent. The level of organization with the binder, flash drive, and letters of instruction to get us started on our beneficiary changes was impeccable. I am a highly organized person, and this level of care just blew me away. I cannot recommend McNamara Law enough and am so grateful they are "in our corner."

I am forever grateful to Jane and her excellent staff. I hired the firm when I was in an extremely difficult situation with my husband's dementia care. I retained the McNamara Law in November 2016. This firm has helped me tremendously in dealing with my husband's illnesses of Parkinson's disease and dementia. Jane visited the Alzheimer's/Dementia support group that I facilitate in Acton, Ca last week. In a very UNhurried, succinct presentation, Jane provided much needed information to our group that was clear, concise and easy to understand.
