Biography
Before joining A-Team DUI, David gained considerable DUI Defense expertise at two of California’s best known DUI defense firms. David is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, having obtained both a Bachelor of Science in chemistry and a law degree. Upon moving to the United States, he obtained an LLM from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1995.
As a DUI Defense attorney, David is unique in that his degree in chemistry gives him a firm foundation to understand the complex science behind blood-alcohol analysis. He worked for four years doing chemical analysis at Glaxo, a leading international pharmaceutical firm. David is a member of the American Chemical Society.
David provides both an initial analysis of a client’s case and an ongoing commitment to a thorough defense strategy.
David is also registered at the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Attorney. Before returning to the practice of law, he spent years in global operations, and has traveled extensively around the world. Attorney Shapiro is an accomplished advocate for our clients and a valued member of our DUI defense team.
