Steven L. Weiss

Steven L. Weiss is a Certified Family Law Specialst, as certified by the State Bar of California, with over forty years of experience. Mr. Weiss is able to resolve matters in and outside the courtrooms across Los Angeles, Ventura, and beyond. In addition to representing clients’ best interests at trial or court hearings, he has regularly engaged in alternative dispute resolution methods through voluntary settlement conferences and private judging.

Mr. Weiss received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from The University of Southern California in 1979. Thereafter he earned his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law and began practicing in 1983. After three years of practicing family law and other areas of law, he established The Law Office of Steven L. Weiss, focusing almost exclusively on family law matters. In 1994, Mr. Weiss’ earned his certification as a Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specializations, affirming his extensive knowledge in the complex realm of family law.

Mr. Weiss has been selected to the Southern California Super Lawyers list in 2006, and consecutively from 2013 to 2024. The Super Lawyer selection is only awarded to the top 5% of attorneys in Southern California. and reaffirms his professionalism, and skill assisting families through the family law process.
