I'd love to say they are quick, but often they can be slow and sometime they can forget. you really need to continually check and stay on them....

If he wasn't arrested, or given a citation, the prosecutor can later file a charge and send a notice to appear.

you should consult with an attorney, particularly if you get a notice to appear in court. don't ignore a notice to appear in court.

Well, if ALL the information is incorrect, then YOU didn't even get a citation, did you? It seems you don't even have a valid, enforceable notice...

He needs to get with a lawyer quickly. He's likely to be arrested and violated on his probation and jailed.
