they should notify you. It makes it difficult to contact your PO when you don't even know who that is.

It can't hurt to have someone defending you. Also, with a permit and two violations, you may need to get some of this bargained down or dismissed.

Generally, strikes are violent felonies. There aren't any drug offenses in CA, even trafficking, that constitute strikes.

I don't know the details here. But some cases have little or no defense, so often a plea is the only reasonable alternative.
