Adam Marshall Wasserman

Two years ago I walked in blindly and alone to an IEP meeting with zero knowledge and I came off that way. I was presented with a whole lot of district jargon that just confused me entirely. I walked out of there feeling helpless and incompetent on how I was going to get my son the help he so desper...ately needed. Knowing that I needed help I started researching. Advocates, lawyers, consultants but none of them offered what we found in Adam. Adam has a plethora of knowledge within the education system. He has years of experience. He downright gets it! Adam held our hand every step of the way. In the two years that we worked with Adam every single text, email and phone call was returned and answered promptly, he also attended every single IEP meeting and saw them through fruition. He fought very diligently and professionally for our son. He also assisted us with getting reimbursed for private aid fees we had to incur as well as extra tutoring which is doing wonders for our son. Adam is the whole package.

It’s a difficult realization that your child isn’t receiving the help at school that they need and deserve. It's equally difficult trying to navigate and understand the often complex language used to gauge their progress, it can be daunting. We were lucky to involve Adam Wasserman in this process.... He easily communicated with the school district and had a commanding understanding of all the documents and test results presented to him. He was able to identify and communicate with us and the district in such a way that quickly led to a settlement. Most importantly our child is getting the help that they have deserved all along. First, I hate that you even have to consider hiring a lawyer at all in dealing with the school system (like Las Virgenes Unified). But where they lack in compassion and humanity, Education Justice Law and Adam Wasserman provide it. Due to an unforeseen medical condition with my daughter, the school d...istrict, of course, failed to provide support or the minimum accommodations. So, we hired Adam. He listened, and he took action. The great thing about Adam is that he was not only superb in meetings while advocating for our daughter and our family, he also educated us providing a range of options for the future. He reminded our daughter how valuable she is and that the school system, while really messed up, doesn't define her or her future. He listened, provided options, and basically provided hope for my daughter where she had none before. He really did "save" her and pushed her toward a great future! Can't say enough about Adam!

We had struggles with the school district that seemed to be never ending. We tried to work with counselors, principal and anyone that would listen from the school district. Our son was in an IEP and had made reasonable grades to be assigned Gen Ed going into High School. The school wouldn’t budge. We... hired an educational advocate. Still no success despite dropping a large sum of money. We were referred to Adam through a family friend and he immediately took charge with the district upon a positive initial consultation and worked diligently to achieve our goal. He was familiar with the circumstances and helped our son get on the right path to have all of his options open for college or whatever he decides when ready. Do not waste time or money with an advocate unless you have an extremely simple situation that you have been unable to resolve. Adam is a complete professional with the passion and drive to make things right when you feel the odds are stacked against you. I absolutely recommend him for any educational legal needs especially within the LVUSD school district.
