No one can say for sure. But, in all likelihood, if you are a man you will serve much, much less than that. Maybe as little as a day or two.

Testimony is enough to convict. However, if you go to trial the person would have to take the stand to testify.

Failure to appear is a separate offense, and usually results in an arrest warrant. Don't do it.

This is trial defense issue, not a "I'll tell the judge and the case will go away" issue. The judge isn't going to listen to anything. Hire a lawyer.
