If subpoenaed, he must appear. You can hire a lawyer to represent him as a witness and advise him what to do.

If you violate, you may go to juvie, you may go to a group home, or you may have your probation continued with or without more conditions.

This does not sound like a case that will be dropped, especially of it has already been filed. Hire a good lawyer.
