That threat only reinforced my concerns and made me question the overwhelmingly positive reviews on his profile. It made me wonder whether other clients felt pressured to stay silent or remove negative feedback. When I first hired Mr. Kakoian, he appeared attentive and professional—quick to respond, eager to get started, and prompt in collecting his retainer. Unfortunately, that level of responsiveness changed shortly after signing the agreement. Over time, I felt that meaningful progress on my case stalled while billing continued. Communication dropped off significantly, and I had to follow up repeatedly just to receive basic updates. At times, I genuinely questioned whether any substantive work was being done on my file. Frustrated by the lack of progress, I filed a complaint with the California State Bar and submitted documentation outlining what I believed was serious mismanagement. If you’re working with Mr. Kakoian and feel something isn’t right, I strongly encourage you to advocate for yourself. The State Bar exists to protect clients and hold attorneys accountable. This review reflects my personal experience and honest opinion. Based on how my matter was handled, I would not recommend Mr. Kakoian. There are many attorneys who communicate clearly, manage cases diligently, and treat their clients with transparency and respect.
