Geoffrey Gallegos

I am a successful career musician who landed in law school in my forties.  Experiencing life from an artist's point of view has fueled a creative approach to resoving issues, and developed a natural approach to building community.  A musician is paid to listen, so I have the ability to connect with my clients, and hear their concerns.

As a litigator, I've participated in civil litigation cases (state/federal), and California criminal defense cases.  I also appeared for oral argument in a Ninth Circuit appeal as a certified law student.  Areas of law included civil rights (§ 1983), personal injury, debt collection, asset forfeiture, FOIA, landlord/tenant, and criminal procedure.

As a transactional lawyer, I've worked in the areas of business entity formation, contracts (largely entertainment-based), partnership disputes, corporate compliance, trust maintenance, licensing, and issues around property management.
