One 'GREAT' Lawyer

If I could give Attorney Leslie Hedges 10+ stars I would !!! Les took on my case against a contractor who's 'swindled' $50,000.00 in a home remodel project. My advice to anyone considering a remodel and hiring a contractor is 1.) As per CSLB, do not give the contractor more than a $1000.00 deposit... when signing a contract. Most will ask for 10%, or more 2.) Pay the contractor only the amount required after each phase has been completed and 'approved' by the city inspector. 3.) Make sure to do your 'due diligence' in researching the contractor. Get good and bad references, as they will only want to submit the good ones. Check references thoroughly. Les took on my case for one prime reason; I had the actual contractor (with 'deep pockets') sign my contract. Otherwise, I probably would have been SOL !!! Attorney Hedges was professional from day one. He kept in communicaton with me on a daily bases, filed the necessary complaints with the CSLB, and professionally followed through to the day of the trial. It was only at that point, did the opposing counsel realize that 'their' ship was sinking. Today it is very difficult to find an attorney that professionally represents his client !!! Most will take your money and run. This was not my experience with Mr. Hedges !!! He was honest, upfront and thoroughly prepared and professional. An attorney recently told me, "When hiring an attorney, look at his credentials. Make sure he graduated from a reputable law school, not one of the lesser schools. Personally, I have had the worst possibe experiences imaginable with graduates from Pepperdine Law School. I would run from these attorneys as fast as possible, as their primary concern is 'racking-up' billable hours. When the money is exhausted, they're gone !!! All attorney's should represent their clients in the manner and with the professionalism that Attorney Hedges practices. Attorney Hedges, a UCLA graduate exemplifies those high professional standards. I would HIGHLY recommend Attorney Hedges to anyone in need of a real estate attorney !!!
