I am posting my personal experiences with this alleged attorney, Dwanna Willis. I had the worst interactions with her. And, the terrible things that I subsequently discovered about her made me realize the Red Flag flashing urgently in front of me, while I spoke with her and consulted, were completel...y accurate and that I am extremely fortunate that I did not hire her. I contacted this sorry representative of the legal community, a week ago. I had a case for which I consulted with her. She had dishonestly quoted an hourly rate. I had agreed to the rate. However, while she spoke, I noticed many inconsistencies and untruths--All of which I then easily verified after my conversation with her. The next day, when I called her back, she had doubled her previous hourly rate from just less than 24 hours earlier. And she lied that she had not given me the previous quotes. However, after I presented evidence of her previous quotes, she had no choice but to admit she had lied. She stated that she was currently receiving assignments from her personal life partner, a female judge in Dependency Court, so she could afford not to have other clients outside of those sweetheart assignments. I was in shock as I listened to her. And I feared for the children that her partner had assigned her to act as "minor's counsel" for. Someone as dishonest as this could and, as I've researched & discovered, easily misrepresent the children and make very harmful recommendations for them. But what is even more disturbing are the official complaints and posts & other information about Dwanna Willis on other public forums. Dwanna Willis is involved in extremely disturbing activities which, when proven, can have her ousted by the BAR. Of course, after my lengthy consultation, I refused to hire her. For the sake of the public's legal right to make informed decisions, I hope that AVVO does not block this Review, as people have a right of disclosure about other peoples' experiences so that they can make their own choices.
