Mình là một nạn nhân của bạo hành gia đình, chân ướt chân ráo từ Việt Nam sang và lúc đó không hề biết đến bạo hành là gì và trông thế nào. Trải qua nhiều việc, đến hiện tại mơ mơ hồ hồ, nhưng mình phải công nhận nhờ có Kim và Nathalie (trợ lý của Kim, chuyên làm về hồ sơ, giấy tờ) mà hiện giờ mình đã nhập tịch Mỹ. Từ lúc mình làm hồ sơ đến giờ tổng cộng là gần 4 năm. Lúc đó mình không có gì đúng nghĩa và cũng không có gì để mất, nên Kim nói gì thì làm theo thôi. Cũng may mắn là nghèo nhưng gặp đúng người! Chị Kim là một người phụ nữ rất bản lĩnh và quyết liệt. Có Kim đồng hành thì mọi việc đều rất yên tâm, chỉ sợ "phía bên kia quyền lực" họ không cho mình suôn sẻ thôi. Nhiều lần mình thót tim, nghĩ là "Chết rồi! Thôi thế là tèo", nhưng chị Kim rất bình tĩnh xử lý vấn đề, đặc biệt là phản ứng rất nhanh nhạy trong những tình huống éo le mình bị làm khó nên mình cũng thoát được kiếp nạn. Mình nghĩ cái hay của những việc Kim làm là không chỉ cung cấp dịch vụ. Kim là một người truyền cảm hứng, chính câu chuyện của Kim đã đủ truyền cảm hứng rồi. Yelp của văn phòng chị lèo tèo ít view vì chị không mua view, chứ làm là ăn chắc mặc bền. Mọi người có thể thử nói chuyện trước về trường hợp của mình. Nghe giọng Kim thôi cũng thấy yên tâm rồi. Chắc như đinh đóng cột. Cái mà mình nhận được sau cùng, vào ngày mình nhận được quốc tịch, là mình nợ Kim và văn phòng luật bé xinh đó một nửa cuộc đời. Mình học được cách 'trả nợ' sao cho đúng, và mình mong con đường riêng mình đang bước đi sẽ thông qua việc Kim giúp đỡ mình để mình có thể tiếp tục giúp đỡ những thân phận khác. Tiền bạc Kim rất rõ ràng, và cũng khẳng định không lấy gì thêm ngoài chi phí cung cấp dịch vụ. Niềm tin là cái mà cộng đồng người Việt thiếu vắng nhiều ở cái xứ sở này.
