Biography
Michael Carrillo is a trial lawyer who has great experience in civil litigation. He has taken cases from start to trial and knows what it takes to win in the courtroom. Mr. Carrillo has handled a range of cases from child sexual abuse to wrongful death and catastrophic injury.
Working with his father, Luis Carrillo, the two worked on a myriad of high-profile cases, such as the Miramonte Elementary School case out of south Los Angeles. Michael and his father were part of a nearly $140 million settlement with the Los Angeles Unified School District in which they represented children who had been sexually abused by their teacher, and serial predator, Mark Berndt while they attended Miramonte. This was the largest settlement ever garnered against a school district in the country. Thereafter Michael continued working on other high-profile matters including being a part of a $58 million settlement against the LAUSD for a case involving teacher Robert Pimental who had sexually abused children at George De La Torre Elementary in Los Angeles. Other cases that include a $17.5 million settlement in an electrocution case on behalf of a family whose father was electrocuted. Recently he garnered a $5 million-dollar verdict against the El Monte Union High School District on behalf of a child sexually abused by her high school science teacher.
Michael continues to work on high-profile cases that have garnered national media attention. His practice today focuses on child sexual abuse cases, police misconduct cases, catastrophic injuries and other wrongful death matters. He is a passionate advocate for his clients including the countless child sexual abuse victims he currently represents.

No Response, No Clue
He met with us for an hour and we provided him with all the material. In spite of multiple calls, did not hear back from him until the court date.
