EDUCATION
Filippo Marchino was born in Turin, Italy into a family with a rich history of car racing and athleticism. He was taught as a child that success is the benefit of hard work and dedication. He had the privilege of attending a small International school, studying English, French and, of course, his native language Italian, making him tri-lingual by the young age of 10.
Following high school, Filippo moved to the U.S. to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. He graduated with his Bachelors of Science in Aerospace Engineering in 2002 and subsequently, with honors, with his Masters of Science in Aerospace Engineering in May 2005. He then attended Southwestern University School of Law, where he graduated with honors, top 10% of his class, in May 2008. In addition, during law school, he earned a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute of the Pepperdine University School of Law.
WORK
As a practicing attorney, Filippo's practice is mainly split between cases involving catastrophic injury and cases involving business and consumer fraud. The vast majority of his cases are, and have been, Plaintiff side work.
As a trial attorney, boosting a very high rate of success, Filippo obtained the largest jury verdict in California in 2017, with a verdict in excess of $454 million dollars. In 2019 he resolved a five year case, stemming from the Venice Beach Boardwalk accident of 2013, for a comprehensive $60.38 million dollars. Additionally, his accomplishments encompass several class action approved settlements including the Powerbalance litigation, with a combined value in excess of $68 million dollars. For his other clients, Filippo has secured in excess of $60 million in actual recovery.

Apart from Filippo’s academic endeavors, he has always been drawn to adventures that combine his love of competitive sports, with his lust for adrenaline. Racing, a family tradition, has been a large part of Filippo’s life since childhood. Another passion of Filippo's, snowboarding, has seen him conquer eight national championships in the last ten years.
In addition, over the last few years, Filippo has volunteered countless hours to the Los Angeles Domestic Violence Project, helping numerous adults and children victims of domestic violence and in need of legal help.

Extremely Capable.
