When confronted with a complex problem involving intellectual property, I found Craig McLaughlin to be a source of sound legal advice and insight. I highly recommend his firm.

A Compasionate Lawyer who cares

I came to know Craig McLaughlin after being served with a federal lawsuit for unfair competition. I was very frightened and did not know what to do. Fortunately, he was recommended to me by another lawyer. Mr. McLaughlin immediately eased my mind and gave me confidence that he would be there for m...e. He got me through a very trying time, keeping me informed all along the way, and was able to get the case against me completely dismissed. I will be forever grateful to him for his professionalism and especially for his sincere concern. I would highly recommend his firm.

Happy With Victory on Appeal and Outcome of My Case

I was very pleased with the result Craig McLaughlin achieved for my business. I had a dispute with a lawyer which I was unable to resolve and hired Craig McLaughlin to help. After the lawyer did not comply with our demand for resolution we sued. The lawyer then asked the local judge to toss out my... case and she did. We appealed. Through Mr. McLaughlin's hard work and advocacy he convinced all three appellate judges that the local judge was wrong. The local judge awarded the full amount we were entitled to. I was very happy with the outcome and his dedication to my case. I would highly recommend him.

"I have good friends who operate a popular restaurant in Southern California where they host karaoke shows. In 2011 they were sued in federal court for trademark infringement by Slep-tone Corporation, a karaoke disc manufacturer. Slep-tone had alleged millions of dollars in damages against my friends and had already sued hundreds of karaoke hosts across the country achieving many settlements. As a lawyer myself, I recognized that the matter was quite serious and that a knowledgeable trademark litigator was needed. I recommended Craig McLaughlin. Craig thereafter vigorously took on Slep-tone and its two law firms and before long had turned the tables. In fact, he got the lawsuit dismissed and forced Slep-tone to pay his fees. Relying on evidence Craig presented, in the order awarding fees, the judge stated that Slep-tone had engaged in bad faith litigation conduct and that the lawsuit was "nothing more than a shakedown." My friends were very pleased. I highly recommend him."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
