Mr. Ramos failed to prepare for court trail, failed to file documents on to court on time, ailed to defend me , and actually showed very little interest in my case except for grossly over charging. He is offensive and becomes very angry if you question his billing. He once threw a fat chart at me fo...r questioning him about his bill He never intended to go to trail, just before court he abandoned my case filing, false statements of me to justify his withdrawal. This attorney is shamefully dishonest. Please be ware.

This attorney, Ramos made me lose my parents' home! He is a failing lawyer in every sense of the word, like a can of roundworms! I know there are better lawyers than him. I blame him for failing, and faltering. I would never recommend him to anyone in this state. He is a failing lawyer, not wort...h the retaining fee. And my parents home was worth a lot of money, the equity & allblaming him, as a failure, a complete failure.

Mr John Ramos was hired for a consultation by my aunt regarding property zoning issues on a refurbished section of her home. After reading through the paperwork he agreed to send a letter to the city of San Gabriel within 3-4 days and to contact my aunt when he received a response. After 2 weeks and... numerous calls to Mr Ramos' offices she still had not heard from him regarding the issue. I offered to call and try to speak with him on her behalf and when I finally got through he was rude to me stating that he could not give me any details regarding the case because I was 'not the client'. I told him the only reason I was calling was because my aunt had failed to get any response from him and I was only trying to find out if the letter had been sent as he promised upon their initial meeting. I reminded him that he said the letter was going to be sent that same week and it was already a week past that date and still we had received no word on the status of that letter. At this point, Mr. Ramos got very irate, raised his voice, continually talked over me and said "I don't know what I said and the letter will go out when we have time to get to it!" I then asked for his State Bar License number because he was being extremely rude and combative and he hung up on me. All of this has cost us and our contractors valuable time and money just because Mr. Ramos would not take the time to call us back and let us know whether he sent the letter. If he is overworked or understaffed, then he should not make promises he cannot keep. And if he is unable to complete his work within the timeline that he has promised his clients, then he should have the integrity to pick up the phone and let them know he is behind schedule. I called the California Bar Association to find out what our rights were in terms of getting him to at least respond to our questions and I found out that he has had previous complaints filed against him and that his license was put on probation in 1993. I cannot recommend Mr. Ramos to anyone given the terrible service that he has shown us.
