Leslie Sharon Marell

Leslie S. Marell brings to her clients over 25 years experience as both an in-house and outside legal advisor to small, medium and large businesses in the  technology, computer products, electronics, manufacturing, medical/ health care, and services industries. She has advised hundreds of manufacturers and OEMs, contract manufacturers, distributors, dealers and independent sales agents as well as purchasing, sales, IT and marketing organizations and professionals. She works with manufacturers, distributors and independent sales representatives who range in size from Fortune 100 companies to sole proprietorships as well as trade associations such as Southern California Electronic Representatives Association (ERA) and the Manufacturers’ Agents National Association (MANA).

The firm has extensive legal experience counseling companies in the areas of Business Contracts, Business Formation and Maintenance, Purchasing and Sales law, Computer and Technology law, Intellectual Property law, Employment law, Real Estate law and day to day legal matters.

Companies such as AMD, Deere & Company, FMC, Glaxo, Knowles Electronics and U.S. Borax have retained our firm to review and improve their company’s contracts.

Ms. Marell serves as general counsel to clients who do not require, or choose not to employ, a full-time lawyer in-house.  We strive to work closely with our clients in a personal and innovative manner to arrive at the best possible strategies to maximize results and minimize risk. At the same time, our goal is always to provide the best possible legal service in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. Our firm prides itself on our ability to help our clients balance the legal considerations with the business realities. We believe that the law should not encumber the flow of business, but can be used to increase our clients’ competitive advantage. 

Ms. Marell has published many articles on contract law, business law, and intellectual property law; co-authored Purchasing Handbook – A Guide for the Purchasing & Supply Professional published by McGraw-Hill; and authored periodic legal columns for Agency Sales  and Inside Supply Management magazines. She published a collection of business contracts called "Purchaser's Contract Forms" which contains 78 business contracts.

Ms. Marell received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Fernando Valley Law School.
