Cathe represents workers in wage and hour class actions and in individual lawsuits for discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination.
Cathe just won the case of Mendiola vs CPS before the California Supreme Court. The Mendiola opinion has strengthened the rights of California workers throughout the State. Now on-call workers and 24-hour shift workers must be paid for all hours worked, including sleep time if they are subject to their employer's control.
Cathe has over 25 years of experience in employment law. She has represented workers and on occasion, small businesses, in practially every aspect of the employment relationship and before every tribunal and regulatory body in California.
Cathe is a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA) and the Employment Law Section of the California State Bar. She is a member of Wildfire Networking and the League of Women Voters Los Angeles.
Cathe has a BA from UC Davis and a JD from Loyola Law School. Cathe is admitted to practice in all of the courts of the State of California, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
