The sooner you start, the sooner you will get into court, and the court can order support retroactive to the date of service on your spouse.

I agree with both counsel, be safe have an attorney draw up the agreement and walk it through the court, prior to exchanging the check.

You will need to register the decree in North Carolina and then bring the motion there, since she has lived there for over 6 months.

She should quit and report the crime, but unfortunately she will not qualify for a U Visa, she should see an Immigration Attorney first.

You will need an attorney here to file a motion or New Zealand and if you have his returns you will need to seek an order changing child support.
