To say that Kelly S. Buck saved my life would be the understatement of the the century. I was involved in public case where I was accused of murder in the first degree. I had never had so much as a parking ticket on my record, so to say that I was terrified was on ly a scratch on the surface of the e...motions that were going thru my head. I acquired a private attorney who was extremely unprofessional, her communication with the DA in my case was almost non-existent. Every time that I had a court date there was either no news of progress or bad news as to the status of my case. After the private attorney asked for $13000 more dollars to continue the case, I fired her and basically gave up hope of my side of the story ever being heard. Then came a miracle, her name is Kelly S. Buck. I was told that I was to be appointed a state appointed attorney, and from what I heard that was the beginning of the end. I could not have been more wrong. Kelly introduced her self in the almost absolute professional manner, while at the same time giving me a scence that she truly cared about the outcome of my case. As soon as she came on board the line of communication with the DA opened up. I felt that for the first time in this whole nightmare I was dealing with, my voice was finally being heard. Within the first few months of her taking over the case my charges were reduced to manslaughter. Literally I went from facing a life sentence to my maximum sentence being 11 years. Kelly not only have hope to me but more importantly to my loved ones, who were also suffering every single day that o was incarcerated. She was polite and well mannered with my family, she even went as far as to comfort them in the hard times. She is an amazing lawyer but more importantly, she is an amazing human being. Kelly has not lost touch of what really matters in her profession, the people. In these tough situations it’s comforting to know that there is someone in this world with not only the guts but the heart to fight for you when you need it the most. Kelly, from the bottom of my heart I thank you for all the hard work you did.
