Stella W Yap

STELLA W. YAP is a Partner at Allan Law Group PC. She  earned her undergraduate degree at UCLA with  honors  and her law degree at Loyola Law School of Los Angeles, where she was a staff member of the International Law Review.   

 Ms. Yap practices in the areas of business law and litigation, music law and litigation, and entertainment law.  In litigation, Ms. Yap has experience with partnership disputes and breach of contract claims.  She also assists clients with business law and start up needs, including selecting and forming operating structures, negotiating and drafting contracts including non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, employment agreements, licensing agreements, and joint venture agreeements.  She also assists clients with intellectual property matters, including trademark and copyright registration and enforcement as well as helping protect, monetize, or recapture copyrights for songwriters.  She also helps artists with recording agreements, tour agreements, merchandise agreements, management agreements and publishing agreements.

Ms. Yap is counsel for a non-profit charitable foundation and is responsible for implementing and administrating programs to promote U.S. China relations and education through seminars, networking, and scholarship programs.  Programs include providing scholarships for Chinese citizens pursuing graduate or post-graduate academic programs in major universities in the United States .  

Ms. Yap currently sits on the Board of Trustees for UCLA's UniCamp program, one of the oldest student organized charities in the country. Each year, UniCamp sends nearly 1000 children from low-income families to its residential outdoor summer camp. Founded in 1934, UniCamp is UCLA's longest running tradition.
