Michael Shultz

I went to Michael following my 3rd DUI. The penalties could have been very significant. Mr. Shultz's skillful handling of my case provided me both with enough time to complete business matters and get prepared for what was to come. Working with Mohammad at Sentinel Monitoring Services, they ultima...tely got me home confinement and an early 1/2 the time on home confinement. Obviously none of us should drink and drive and the penalties are even worse without excellent representation like I received from Mr. Shultz.

I was subject to a citizen's arrest, based on a misunderstanding, in Los Angeles last month for a misdemeanor violation. I did not think that I should have been arrested, much less even charged with a crime. After being arrested, I was cited and promptly released. Prior to my court date and prior... to being formally charged with any crime, I received several notifications in the mail after my arrest from attorneys in the Los Angeles area. I called and talked to 4 of them. Michael Shultz was very sincere and took the time to actually listen to me and give me the straight facts about my legal situation. He did not make any grand promises, but he did feel that he could help me and was very good at explaining all of the potential ways my legal case might get resolved. After talking with Michael, I decided to retain him as my attorney. His fee was not as high as some attorneys nor was it as low as others, but it was a very fair fee, given the type of case that it was. Within two weeks of hiring Michael, Michael was able to successfully to set up an Office Hearing for me with the City Attorney of Los Angeles, which meant I did not have to return to Los Angeles and appear in court. Michael felt that after the Office Hearing concluded, there was an excellent chance that no criminal charges would be filed against me. Shortly after obtaining the Office Hearing, Michael contacted me again to say the City Attorney had elected to preempt the office hearing (take the Office Hearing off calendar), and that no formal charges would be filed against me by the City Attorney. I could not have been happier with the outcome. It was not a pleasant experience to get arrested but the absolute best result for this situation would be to have no formal charges filed against me and that was the resolution of my case. I do believe that Michael's familiarity with the City Attorney's Office and knowing the case procedures was a huge advantage. I was also pleased with how Michael shared with me all of the possible outcomes of this case. Michael kept me informed and was always very prompt in responding to my calls and emails.
