Tonya spent 7 years as a JAG officer with the United States Army, where her duties included prosecution, defense, and administrative law work. Tonya has tried numerous military jury trials to verdict as well as numerous court trials.
Tonya has significant experience handling veterans compensation and benefits claims and appeals, discharge upgrades, and military records correction.
Before earning her law degree Tonya served 6 year in the United States Army as an enlisted Soldier. Tonya then earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in 2005 from California State University, Sacramento, where she graduated Cum Laude, ranking high amongst her class. She then received her Juris Doctor degree in 2010 from the University of California, Hastings College of Law.
