Try and work out as much as you can before going to an attorney. But when you are ready to begin this process, Jon Levin is the right person for the job. A lot of people have a misconception of what a good family law attorney does and you should realize what this means: A good Family Law Attorney does not TELL you what to do. He gives you the options and YOU have to decide. Our military generals do not TELL the President what to do, they give him options. By that same analogy, GOOD generals do not want to go to war. They will take you there if need be, but they would prefer a peaceful solution. In my case, I became so frustrated with negotiating with my wife that I just threw up my hands and said, "Forget it. Lets just go to court and let the judge sort it out". Jon was there to advise me what was involved with that. Trust me, it did not look pretty. So I went back to the drawing board and kept trying to negotiate a deal with my wife. Eventually, we got this done. So why the long-winded advice? Because Jon was there with me throughout this entire process. I dont ever recall leaving him a voicemail..he answered every one of my calls. My emails were promptly returned and every single one of my questions were answered. He has a genuine concern for your case and is very thorough in getting all the details right.
