Grace A Jamra

Grace A. Jamra began practicing law in 1992 and has an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale Hubbell. She began working exclusively in the area of family law and later joined the Bel Air office of a family law specialist as an associate for several years, concentrating solely on family law and related family law matters. In 1997, Grace joined the firm of Phillips, Lerner, & Lauzon as an associate and became a named partner in 2001. While at Phillips, Lerner, Lauzon & Jamra, Ms. Jamra earned the distinction of being a first-class litigator and negotiator endowed with working on complex, high-asset cases in the fields of dissolution, paternity, palimony, guardianship and adoption.

In January, 2011, Grace co-founded her own practice, Jamra & Jamra, L.L.P., located in Beverly Hills where she continues to practice exclusively in the area of family law. Grace’s background in economics and finance, coupled with her child custody and advocacy litigation expertise, has enabled her to handle the issues associated with intricate child custody and financial matters, including complicated child custody evaluations and valuations of complex business interests.

Grace’s diverse clientele has ranged from actors, entertainers, sports celebrities to professionals in the medical and legal field, as well as entrepreneurs, business owners, employers and homemakers.

Grace has written several articles relating to her area of practice, which have been published in the Los Angeles Daily Journal, California Lawyer and other legal trades. In 2010, Ms. Jamra authored a chapter entitled “Current Challenges in Current Family Law Cases” for Inside the Minds: Strategies for Family Law in California. She has also spoken on numerous family law issues before various professional groups and before the Family Law Section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association.

A graduate of Whittier College with a Bachelors degrees in economics and political science, Grace received her Juris Doctorate degree from Whittier College School of Law. She has been recognized for her contributions and accomplishments in the field of family law by Strathmore’s Who’s Who (Millennium Edition). In 2008, Grace earned the distinction of Whittier Law School’s “Attorney of the Year” Alumni Award. In addition, she has been nominated and named by her peers as one of Southern California’s “Super Lawyers” since 2003 and since 2011 has been rated one of the “Top 50 Women Attorneys in Southern California.” She has also been recognized as one of the “Women Leaders in the Law” by the Los Angeles Times and Forbes Magazine.

Grace is the founder and was the president of the Whittier Alumni Network and served for several terms on the Whittier College Alumni Board of Directors. She has previously served on the Boards of Vista Del Mar, the Los Angeles Women’s Clinic and Family Counseling Center, Free Arts for Abused Children, and other cultural and charitable organizations. Grace is a supporter of various charities and organizations that support victims of domestic violence and citizens’ rights. Grace is a member of the American, California, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and Armenian Bar Associations. She serves as the Chair of the Family Law Executive Committee for the Beverly Hills Bar Association (2012-2013).
