Gary Jay Freedman

Some time ago, I hired Freedman to handle a minor tax issue. Everything went fine. About a year later both me and my companies were subject to a major IRS audit. The audit lasted for years and was extremely stressful. The IRS didn't find anything wrong, however. A later asked my CPA why in t...he world we got audited. He did some digging and found out that Gary Freedman (and his law firm) had developed a bad reputation of giving wrong tax advise. The IRS would up auditing everyone who hired Ervin, Cohen & Jessup for tax issues. That was the only reason for the audit. My advise is to stay away from these lawyers -- they will get you into trouble without even knowing it.
