I presently serve as a member of the Los Angeles City Planning Commission (appointed by Mayor Villaraigosa and re-appointed by Mayor Garcetti), the United States Holocaust Memorial Council (appointed by President Obama) and the Emeritus Council of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). I previously served as a member of the Los Angeles Board of Transportation Commissioners, the Board of Directors of HRC, a Co-Chair of the LGBT Leadership Council of the Democratic National Committee, a member of the Hillary for America National Finance Committee, a member of the National Finance Committee of the Obama for America campaign, the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank, the Los Angeles County Youth Commission and A.N.G.L.E. (Access Now for Gay & Lesbian Equality)
