Scott Michael Lesowitz

Scott contacted me with alacrity after I posted about my legal issue on Thumbtack. I chose him to handle my case out of the numerous lawyers that contacted me, because he gave me a game plan of how we could proceed, and was extremely expeditious and responsive whenever I spoke to him. I am extremely ...grateful to him and beyond happy that I chose him. The legal issue that I needed his assistance with regarded someone filing a restraining order against me accusing me of cyber-bullying her during a period of extreme mental instability I was weathering, (I have bipolar I disorder, and was experiencing psychotic delusions regarding this person). I was very frightened that this restraining order would succeed, because it would undoubtedly affect my future in graduate school admissions and in future employment. Scott deftly came up with a defense for the first hearing, and the case was dismissed. The complainant then filed a second restraining order with more allegations of misconduct, and once again fearful that the restraining order would pass, Scott used his amazing diplomatic skills to negotiate a deal with the complainant's attorney such that an automatic restraining order would be put in place if I ever contacted her again, but that I was free to go and nothing would be filed or passed so long as I refrained from future contact. I'm extraordinarily thankful that Scott negotiated this deal, and it's taken an immense weight off my mind. I'm proud to say that I've received the necessary medical attention, and am now stable and have not contacted this person, making good on the wonderful opportunity Scott has afforded me; (I was low on a specific chemical I need in my bloodstream and we've remediated the issue). Scott has been a fantastic presence throughout this process, also providing advice and emotional support related to how to handle this situation with my university, as the complainant was also a student there. Scott is a wonderfully knowledgable person, and he is not only insightful about legal matters, but personal issues as well. He is a very kind and thoughtful person, and it has been my pleasure to work with him. He is truly great not only on a legal level, but also in the dimension of kindness and morality. Whenever I was tense, his warm presence and witty conversational skills always ameliorated my distress. He has truly saved me from what could've been a much more difficult and bleak future, and I am forever indebted to him. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to everyone struggling with a legal issue.

Some universities do not have much of experience with the needs of students on the autism spectrum. Scott and his team provided a great support to communicate an effective approach and transfer my son to a university closer to home which made it a win win situation for everyone. My son is happy, g...etting good grades and the university staff know that we are always there to help in any form or way.
