Howard Shoppen and his team are the best he has done a great job for me and to a handful of others that I have referred to him. He has always done a fabulous job always straight forward with you sometime makes you feel stupid only because he is the best at what he does and does explain everything tho...roughly. He might be a little pricy but when it comes to your life and your family's life nothing is to expensive. If anyone has any bad reviews on him I strongly disagree with u just don't know how to listen and let the lawyer do his job. With that being said Howard is THE MAN

I would not recommend this lawyer to anyone, All he does is ask for money but no action he lacks in communicating any information in regards to the case he always too busy even though he has received half of the deal, He gave no reason on the case and all he would do is get upset and get annoyed by m...y a scream of the defendants 3 yr old, After court he wuld always have to leave and basically shut us up when we wanted to ask about certain things that happen at court with" This is a process" he would not take any of our suggestion, He would always give us the round around, during court he would never remember the last name of the parties , the judge constantly had to ask him to rephrase his question he was really annoying the judge!, He was paid more than half of what he charge 15 k and because he was told how things should be meaning that we made him aware that we are knowledgeable with the state bar of California and asked for records on whats being going on with the case HE DECIDED to take the file to the clerk and not advice the defendant that he is no longer going to represent him, His reception Judy RUDE! I truly believe that they are very racial people Us being Hispanic made them believe that they could down talk us like we were stupid! His reception needs better customer service skills and learn how to be polite and speak to people she apprently got upset because she was told by me to lower her voice and she is getting paid to write down my message I treat people the way they treat me and 11k is a lot money to be able to get a feed back on the case. I truly think no one should use him, now he claims he was threaten only because I advice him that I will make a complaint with the state bar of California! So what does this tell you? that he was afraid! poor ethical skills I tell you Racis to the fullest. Now we are trying to make an appointment an Judy the receptionist is refusing? when on earth have we seen a reception make decision for the Lawyer?????????

My family was referred to Howard by a close family friend. Howard apparently represented them on an attempt murder charge and had the case dismissed. We hired Howard for my sister who was in federal custody facing over ten years for having over 80lbs of cocaine. Howard came in and saved not only m...y sister's life but our family. He never made us any promises. He did promise us that he was going to do everything in his power for her. After about 9 months of working the case my sister was sentence to 18 months. We could not believe what he was able to do for her. He fought hard and never gave up. He would not take no for an answer. My family is forever indebted to Howard. He is as good as they come. I would like to announce on what a great experience I encountered with Howard Shopenn and his team. I am very thankful for all his hard work and dedication towards my aunt and uncles case. This case how ever was very difficult and challenging it involved large amounts of narcotics and fire arms. ...Howard was very helpful and made everything possible to make the situation better. He really made me feel comfortable on choosing him to represent my family. One of the many qualities of Howard was that he never “sugar coated” things and was honest when the situation became challenging. I couldn't be any happier with the results. I paid Mr.Shopenn 15k retainer for illegal search&seizure case. After a couple of hearings,he demands another 15k, right before court session, to continue. Under duress, and with promises of "sewing this thing up",he gets his check. (yes, im stupid. should have read the signs then) After the s...ession,(included in the retainer) with no progress, he tells me the only way for me is: Plead guilty at the next courtsession as to being an addict, and enroll myself in rehab, which will show co-operation, thus ensure just a wrist slap. After thinking it over a few days, and consulting another attorney , i told Mr. Shopenn that i am unhappy with his services, and to refund me, since ALL services had been FULLY paid for. He then told me that he had allready drawn up a "Next" plan, and the cost will go to that. 15k for WHAT?? At the next session, with my new attorney,the judge called the case nonsense,dismissing it. PROVING Howard Shopenn not only a Fraud, but an Idiot.
