Yevgeniya Lisitsa

After graduating from Georgetown University Law Center, Gina passed the California bar exam on the first try. Believing she could provide the most efficient and prompt legal services independent of a large firm environment, she went on her own in Los Angeles in 2002.

Prior to Lisitsa Law, Gina actively attained a wide variety of hands-on legal experience beginning as early as 1997. This includes second-chairing felony trials for the US Attorney’s Office, where she drafted motions and summaries, researched case law, and conducted witness conferences. She also gained extensive Supreme Court legal knowledge while interning at the CBS Evening News in Washington, DC, where her work included researching background on term 2000 cases and attending/drafting summaries on Supreme Court oral arguments and opinions.

Gina’s interest and pursuit of women’s human rights issues drove her to propose and develop legislation in Uganda that banned female genital mutilation, promoted equal rights within marriage, and criminalized the mistreatment of women.
