Roby Jonathan Yadegar

Before founding Yadegar Law PC in 2010, Roby started his career at some of the world’s top business law firms. He is an experienced, entrepreneurially-minded business attorney devoted to providing high-level legal work and advice for entrepreneurs, professionals and companies of all sizes across a wide variety of industries including technology, media, entertainment, finance, real estate, manufacturing, fitness and fashion.

Roby began his legal career after his first year of law school as a summer associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom where he worked on several high profile finance and M&A transactions. After Skadden, Roby joined the Corporate Department of Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles where he focused primarily on M&A, private equity transactions, venture capital transactions, equity financings and general corporate representation for domestic and international private and public companies.

After five years at Latham, Roby joined the Media & Entertainment Transactions Group at Katten Muchin Rosenman in Century City where he advised media companies, television networks, tech companies, distribution and production companies, financial institutions and investment funds in a variety of transactions, including the development, production, financing, acquisition and exploitation of intellectual property and entertainment assets in a variety of media, including television, internet, home video and other emerging digital media. 

Before starting YLPC he co-founded a consumer-facing tech company – an experience he says helped him understand business from the other side of the table, and which he credits with making him the practical, entrepreneurially-minded lawyer he is today.

Roby received his JD from NYU, his BA in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and attended Harvard-Westlake High School in Los Angeles, where he was born and raised. Roby lives in Beverly Hills with his wife and two young sons. A native Angeleno, he is passionate about playing his small role in helping to shape the business community in the city he loves.
