Scott E. McPherson

Scott McPherson, is Senior Counsel of Adli Law Group P.C. His practice is primarily focused on Intellectual Property Management, Advocacy and Protection, and Litigation. Mr. McPherson’s extensive legal background includes all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent prosecution, litigations, opinions, clearances, due diligences, licensing, interference practice, and oppositions.

                Prior to joining Adli Law Group P.C., Mr. McPherson was the President and Founder of S McPherson IP Law in San Diego. Mr. McPherson brings to the firm more than 10 years of experience representing clients in the Biotech, Cleantech, Medical Devices, High Tech, Pharmaceutical, Mechanical, Consumer Goods, and Action Sports Industries. Mr. McPherson’s practice focused on Intellectual Property Management, Advocacy and Protection. Mr. McPherson has spent the last decade working in large international multipractice law firms, large intellectual property boutique law firms, and in-house with technology based companies. While working in law firms Mr. McPherson’s practice focused on Intellectual Property Management including patent, trademark and copyright protection, as well as opinion and strategy opinions based on licensing, funding or competitor analysis in a broad range of technologies ranging from simple mechanical (knives, spinal implants) to complex diagnostic machinery (non-invasive glucose monitors, DNA Microarray systems) and assays, to compositions of matter, immunoassays and vaccines and adjuvants. While working in-house as a Patent Specialist and Contract Administrator with Nanogen Inc, he managed their patent and trademark portfolio and wrote and reviewed contracts.

                Before his career in law, Mr. McPherson spent over nine years with start-up biotechnology and non-profit research institutions developing and managing research used to identify the efficacy and safety aspects of drugs, devices and biologics.
