You'll need a local PI lawyer to try to get you some help. Sounds like you may have been at fault, though.

Probably not much assuming you're at will. Only if you were in a union would you maybe have a shot. Just find another job.

If you were hurt worse because the airbags didn't deploy, then yes, maybe. You need to keep the car. Get a lawyer ASAP.

Mr. Kopelson's advice is good. I would say that if the two of you weren't really sickened, there's not much of a damages case.
