In the beginning of this year, I received my 2nd DUI, that also involved a car accident. Fearful that this accident has impacted the lives of the victims in the other car, may impact my reputation, and that this decision to drive after drinking would destroy my career, I searched around for an attorn...ey. I was originally charged with a felony, where the sentencing can potentially be around the ballpark of YEARS in prison. After meeting with Mr. Tooson, I was immediately relaxed by his steadfast demeanor, and authentic personality. He made no guarantees with me, but ensured me that he would go to work for me, and was completely honest about how these type of cases are handled, and their potential outcomes. In a city (Van Nuys) where DUI cases are 99.99 percent made as an example for California Drinking\Driving Laws, and known for being notoriously strict, I prayed harder than ever. My connection with God has been thankfully strengthened by the power of prayer. And God's response to me, was not only a wake up call on my behavior, but a blessing. God used Mr. Tooson to deliver the message. As mentioned, I was facing the possibility of YEARs in prison. My charges were brought forth, and I was sentenced to 10 days in HOUSE ARREST! House arrest still allowed me to go to work daily, and allowed me to still be active and involved in my community leadership. I'm still going thru the hardships of understanding that my life, or the lives of others could have been taken away. But I am thankful that nobody was seriously hurt, and only minor injuries occurred. If it weren't for the diligence, hard work ethic, expansive knowledge, and the experience and network that Mr. Tooson has, I wouldn't have the opportunity to be writing this much appreciated review letter, from the desk of my work office.
