Vijay Singh Sekhon

Vijay Sekhon focuses on mergers, purchases, sales and reorganizations of public and private corporations, public equity offerings, public debt issuances, private placements of debt and equity for public and private companies, and general corporate and securities law. Vijay has represented The Blackstone Group, L.P., Cerberus Capital Management, LP, Fast Retailing Co., Ltd., Universal Studios Japan, Z Capital Partners, L.L.C., Pinnacle Foods Inc., Performance Food Group Company, Domino Printing Sciences plc, Tekelec, Siris Capital Group, LLC, Glendon Capital Management LP, Castle Creek Capital LLC and Holdco Asset Management. He also served as Senior Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 2009 to 2011, and is an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.

Vijay received his Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School, where he was Editor of the Stanford Law and Policy Review, and his Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the University of California at Berkeley. He served as a Judicial Intern for former Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist in the the United States Supreme Court, and as an Intern for the Honorable Ellen Segal Huvelle, United States District Court for the District of Columbia. Vijay has published twenty-one articles related to law, business and finance in respected academic and practitioner journals, including the Stanford Journal of Law, Business & Finance, the Berkeley Business Law Journal, the Securities Regulation Law Journal, the Real Estate Finance Journal and Pratt's Journal of Bankruptcy Law.

Vijay is admitted to practice law in the States of California and New York and is a licensed real estate broker in the State of California.
