Ms. Maknouni represented my wife in a custody hearing. Biggest mistake ever. Should have trusted my gut and terminated her as soon as we could. She was unprepared, difficult to reach. She read from a prepared statement, while the other side didn't. She dragged out the precedings longer than necessary.... Almost bankrupted us. We finally finished the case right where we started. No change. Seriously we didn't need her. The cherry on top: we made a payment plan with her knowing the financial burden she put on us she didn't care. We are about to finally finish paying her for her worthless services, she sends us an invoice saying we still owe her money. Problem is we documented everything, She omitted several payments on her side. Utter incompetence. Seriously considering going to the state bar for fraudulent overbilling. And her response was that she didn't appreciate our tone....hmmm..yes....that bad. This individual thinks she is that important. Please, average at best.

Based on my personal experience with this office, I was deeply dissatisfied with the legal services provided. In my opinion, the attorney was not adequately prepared for my hearing despite having all the evidence for over a month. I felt that communication was very poor; I had difficulty reaching the... attorney and often received no response to my emails, yet I was still billed for them. My experience regarding the billing was also frustrating, as the high fees did not seem to reflect the level of attention or readiness shown in court. From my perspective, the lack of professionalism and the arrogant communication style made a difficult situation much worse. I personally would not recommend these services to anyone looking for a lawyer who is prepared and responsive to their client's needs."
