David Manning Chodos

Attry Chodos is a one man attorney. If your case is not big enough, he will not have time for you. He has an assistant (Denise) who does the best she can but ultimately David is just too busy and not knowlegeable enough when it comes to auto accident cases. I referred a total of 3 cases to him within... 5 years. The first one we were able to settle but he received recommendation from the def attry on the day of trial on how to increase our settlement amount. We ended up going through my uninsured policy plan. The second file was referred to him 4 years later where I got rear ended. 3 months after that, my wife got rear ended as well so I also referred my wife's case to him thinking that it will be easier to have 1 attry handle both files. In reagrds to my file, he was not able to do anything. He did not refer me to a Dr and was not able to bring the offer amount from the insurance company up. I dropped him and ended up settling the case for a higher amount. In regards to my wife's claim, he was pretty much MIA. turns out he had a heart surgery and when he came back, he still was not working on her file. Every time I called, he said that he will look at it. I probably gave him another 2-3 months after his return and was very patient with him but still he didn't do anything. Everytime there was a new excuse. oh I have a federal case that's going to trial, oh I will review and call you back (of course he never did review or call me), oh i have a Dr's appt etc.... at one point he told me that he won't get offended if we drop him and go with someone else (really)??? I finally after 6-8 months of NO TREATMENT decided to drop him. so learn from me and don't refer your auto accident claim to him. If you have other claims then just be careful as he is the only person handling files. He doesn't have other attorney's.
