Biography
Ms. Kelly was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in the Chicago suburbs. She attended New York University in New York, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Metropolitan Studies in 1992. In 1996, she earned her Juris Doctorate from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. Ms. Kelly was admitted to the State Bar of Illinois in 1996 and subsequently, to the Trial Bar for the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois. She was admitted to the State Bar of California and the Bar of the United States District Court for the Central District of California in 2001. In 2013, she was admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States. Ms. Kelly has extensive trial experience and has practiced civil and criminal law in federal, state and local courts in both California and Illinois.
