Judith Caryl Nesburn

Judith Nesburn is an experienced family law attorney mediator and Collaborative Law practitioner who combines her family law knowledge and skills with her background as a Licensed Clincile Social Worker to guide families through the dissolution process with the sensitivity and respect which are the hallmarks of Collaborative Practice. Judith's goal is to help parties avoid the costly and destructive experience of litigation, while creating a future which will best serve their interests and those of their children in the years following the divorce.

Judith has lectured widely throughout California and the US on many mediation and Collaborative Law topics, including "A Guided Tour Through the Successful Family Law Mediation", "Collaborative Premarital Agreements: Tying the Knot Without Stranging the Romance", "The Power of Language: How to Communicte Effectively with your ADR Client", "Avoiding Impasse in Collaborative Practice", and "Interest Based Negotiations". Since 1995, she has lectured at the California State Bar Annual Meetings, California State Bar Section Education Institutes, the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution (ABA), Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association (LACFLA), International Association of Collaborative Professionals (IACP), Collaborative Professionals of California (CPCAL), the Law and Social Work Program of the USC School of Social Work.

Judith has also been active in many Bar Associations and in the ADR community, including her serve on the California State Bar Family Law Section Executive Committee, as Continuing Legal Education Chair of the Family Law Section, as Chair of the ADR Standing Committee of the Family Law Section, and as a member of the executive committee of the Beverly Hills Bar ADR Section. Judith also serves as a family law mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court and for the Court of Appeals.
