If I could give Oakwood Legal zero stars, I would. From the start, Brennan got involved; I only had at most an hour of conversation in total until the mediation date, which was 5-6 hours of his time. It was always a new person. I gathered all of the information and sent it to Oakwood. He did nothing... except answer the phone and say everything was included in the fee (which was a lie). On mediation day, I asked him directly a specific question, and he acknowledged it (when the bill came, it was a lie). I am a veteran and a retired firefighter, and I lost the full use of my arm and was in pain daily. I was awarded more than projected, and Brennan changed his mind about what he told me during the mediation and is hiding behind a contract and not a man of his word). When we re-look at the zoom mediation file, I will be proven correct about everything. This firm is a wolf in sheep's clothing. More to come; AVOID IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!! I have filed complaints against the Better Business Bureau and the California Board of Lawyers against them and want to share with everyone the breakdown and how you will be treated as a number, not a client. So if you're looking for a firm that is only trying to make money for itself and treats you as an afterthought, this is your firm!! I recommend calling other firms before even attempting a relationship with Oakwood Legal. I'm sure Oakwood will try and come back with an excuse, so I wanted to post the numbers so you can judge just how much you'll lose if choosing this firm.
