As a first time surrogate I had a contract to review and sign, I asked many questions and did my best to catch any mistakes. Now I want to do an Addendum due to learning more and I’m being told it won’t happen before we even made the addendum. There’s sections where my compensation for surrobabe deli...very isn’t even mentioned, only compensation for spouse during delivers. One section says I’ll get compensation for anything over 40 miles and the next section says I’ll get compensated for anything over 50 miles. One section says I’ll get paid within 5 days for one thing and the next says I’ll get paid with 14 days for another thing. It also says I’ll get paid in 10 monthly instillations after heartbeat confirmation at which point I will already be 7 weeks pregnant. Meaning there are only 8 months left in the pregnancy so 10 months is making so that I have to trust I’ll get paid the left over 2 months in a timely manner after the intended parents have their child although there’s no due by date for the 2 remaining monthly payments either. I am having a terrible experience and as a lawyer you would think she would know better than to accept a contract with these things. It is her job to know, I trusted her which is why I went ahead and signed after 3 times of back and forth with the contract between myself, my lawyer and the Intended parents and their lawyer.

I recently worked with Steve and his team. Amanda was the Partner who reviewed all of the documents with me, and helped explain and address any questions. She was responsive to emails, available for calls and very knowledgeable. Everyone in the office is so kind and there to work with you as fast and... efficiently as possible. Ning and Margarita in the office are also fantastic! Of course Steve too!

I worked with Steven Lazarus' law firm & hired Amanda Troxler to represent me for a surrogacy contract & journey. Amanda's ability to communicate contracts to someone who was very unfamiliar was incredibly helpful. She was patient and thorough. She took time to explain stipulations and I never felt r...ushed or unimportant. Sadly, the end of my journey came with complications from the parents I carried the child for. Less than 48 hours after delivering the baby, I was in emotional distress late at night. I called Steven Lazarus' line and took down the emergency number he had listed. I didn't expect a person to answer, but he did. He was incredibly kind, listened to me and promised to send a note to Amanda and ask for her to reach me. At 8pm that night (only an hour later) I received a text from Amanda informing me she would call that evening - INCREDIBLE! She did call and listened and guided me through what I needed to do. She easily could have called me the next morning, but she showed that she is compassionate, empathetic and incredibly kind. When you're being represented for an adoption, surrogacy or family matter, these are characteristics that are important. It reminds us of our humanity and why we enter the line of work that we do. This is not a law firm interested in only monetary value, they are interested in helping others and making a difference in people's lives. Without ANY hesitation, I would recommend this firm to anyone I loved and cared for.
