Shayan Daniel Kohanteb

Shayan Kohanteb is the founder and Managing Attorney of Checkmate Law, PC, a plaintiff's firm on West Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles representing people in personal injury and employment cases throughout California. Before founding Checkmate Law, Shayan practiced litigation at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, one of the nation's premier trial firms, where his work included insurance defense: the carrier side of the very claims he now brings. He has tried a case to verdict as first chair, and won. He holds a J.D. from UCLA School of Law and a B.S. from the USC Marshall School of Business, and he externed with the United States Attorney's Office for the Central District of California. Shayan founded Checkmate Law on a simple premise: injured people and mistreated employees deserve big-firm preparation with direct, personal attention from their attorney.
