My practice is one of the first to create a specialty in the world of new media growing up online. He has represented major YouTube channel owners, some of the earliest live video streamers, online musical acts, and more. That said, many of David’s clients have been in more traditional entertainment law areas as well, such as music, television commercials, documentary filmmaking, and screenwriting.

Many of my clients are in the video game industry. I have represented established and startup game developers making games for console, PC, and mobile platforms. I have also worked with video game peripheral manufacturers, employees of large publishers, and more. This work has taken the form of licensing, publishing deals, copyright and trademark work, employment law questions, initial business formation, and much more.

My experience in copyright and trademark law includes registration, transfers, rights clearances, copyright opinions, licensing, work for hire agreements, infringement defense, cease and desist letters, and more.

Because so many of my clients are based online, internet law is an integral part of my practice. I have worked with DMCA take downs and safe harbors, terms of service, and clickwrap contracts. I have also represented clients accused of unauthorized file sharing online.
